Start time: Friday, February 26, 2021, 11:00 AM End time: Friday, February 26, 2021, 12:00 PM CE Hours: 1.00 Session Type: Prerecorded Educational Courses
Learning Objective 1:
Understand the need for research on validity and various validity evidence from the Messick’s unified validity framework
Learning Objective 2:
Identify the key validity components from various simulation scenarios and interpret the results from validity studies; learn from the real-world simulation example
Learning Objective 3:
Discuss lessons learned from implementing the validity framework in simulation projects and forging collaboration opportunities
Content Category: Educator
This course focuses on a detailed aspect of the topic.
Participants will have the opportunity to improve their conceptual understanding about validity of assessment by applying Messick’s unified validity framework. Participants will learn from simulation faculty the real-world application on validating the assessment tools, e.g., pharmacy Entrustable Professional Activities (EPAs) assessment. The learned lessons from collaboration between researchers and educators in simulation will be discussed.
