Large numbers of students are preparing for medical school. One new college of medicine developed a unique opportunity to experience learning through patient encounters. Teams of 10, students rotated through three standardized patient scenarios requiring professional communication: escalating couple; post surgical infection, and giving bad news. Tag Team Sim engaged students, promoted listening skills, and stimulated critical thinking.
