Implement a standardized patient (SP) framework imagining the role as a both a Broadway understudy and a master educator by creating standards of best practice (SOBT) that can be employed by SPs when preparing for and executing clinical encounters

Course Overview:
This interactive session will explore the dual role of actor/educator by harnessing actors’ innate abilities, such as rich character development and robust script analysis, to optimize grading/performance-based reliability. Emphasis will be placed on identifying “script beats”, exploring character development within assessment tools, recognizing emotional reactions rooted in bias and endorsing shared vocabulary tools to optimize standardization.
