This course focuses on a detailed aspect of the topic.
Course Overview:
Opioid Use Disorder (OUD) has resulted in a dramatic increase in deaths over the past 2 decades and imposes an enormous US public health burden. We discuss our institutional Opioid Stewardship Program that utilizes simulation-based education to promote the development and utilization of systems-based solutions to mitigate the risk of OUD. We will discuss curriculum development, outcome measures, and risk-mitigation for patients with OUD.
