Inter-professional Collaboration: Testing for Latent Safety Hazards for Activation (1090-002239)
CE Hours: 1.00 Session Type: Prerecorded Educational Courses Cost: $0.00
Learning Objective 1:
Describe the five steps of the SimLEARN system activation process
Learning Objective 2:
Examine how process-oriented simulations are used to identify potential latent safety hazards
Learning Objective 3:
Explain how latent safety hazard findings identified during the activation process are documented on the Hazard Identification Report
Content Category: Educator
Course Content:
This course is an example of a specific scenario, course, or curriculum.
Course Overview:
This workshop provides an overview of the process used by a Veterans Health Administration to observe and mitigate potential latent safety hazards (LSH) in newly constructed or renovated patient care areas. Participants will practice identifying concerns, outline simulations to test for vulnerabilities, use a standardized tool to rate the level of risk, and provide mitigation recommendations.
