CE Hours: 1.50 Session Type: Prerecorded Educational Courses Cost: $0.00
Learning Objective 1:
Describe challenges of maintaining simulation-based education programs during the COVID-19 pandemic
Learning Objective 2:
Identify cognitive learning features within simulation for rapid translation from manikin-based simulation to virtual tele-simulation
Learning Objective 3:
Develop continuity plans for rapidly adapting simulations delivery including translation of existing scenarios to virtual format
Content Category: Educator
Course Content:
This course focuses on a detailed aspect of the topic.
Course Overview:
From local lockdowns, social distancing, to infection prevention, the novel coronavirus 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic impacted simulation centers nationally and globally. This interactive workshop engages participants in rapidly adapting simulation curriculum and delivery methods to changing needs and restrictions. We discuss critical features of cognition, interaction, and technology for delivering high-quality virtual tele-simulation education.
