This hands-on procedure based workshop will give participants a chance to experience educational theory in practice by applying selected techniques to teach procedures. The session will highlight several key concepts including behaviorism, mastery learning, deliberate practice,and experiential learning. Curricular design to optimize student learning will be explored in small groups with a high faculty ratio to address example challenges.
