Development of a Virtual Opioid Overdose Simulation (1090-003604)
CE Hours: 0.25 Session Type: Prerecorded Educational Courses
Learning Objective 1:
Recreate the steps needed to take in order to transition a live simulation into a virtual experience
Learning Objective 2:
Discuss the differences measured between the live simulation vs. the virtual simulation
Learning Objective 3:
Identify simulations used within their organization which may be converted to a virtual format
This course is an example of a specific scenario, course, or curriculum.
This course will provide the attendee with the tools needed to recreate a virtual simulation based on a live simulation. Participants will walk through the steps taken to complete the transition using a “Choose your own adventure” approach with a patient who overdoses on opioids. The simulation created was suitable for students from multiple professions and allowed for Interprofessional Collaboration during the experience.
