Course Overview:
Using a low fidelity simulated experience to identify areas of patient safety concerns and potential sources of medical error for a new surgical service line. The entire patient experience was replicated from the operating room through post recovery and PICU to the acute care. A interprofessional process set to highlight the areas of lapses in education, communication and documentation for a new novel surgical procedure at a children's hospital.
