Course Overview:
This course will review a patient safety/quality project that was implemented as a collaboration between our behavioral health center and the simulation center. This project was developed in response to an increase in restrictive intervention minutes within the behavioral health emergency department and inpatient units and focused on de-escalation techniques. Project planning, logistics, implementation, barriers and results will be discussed.
