Course Overview:
Standardized patient (SP) encounters in telemedicine is an emerging area in simulation.The COVID-19 pandemic necessitated a rapid transition to remote encounters for student assessment. Building on experience administering over 600 SP telemedicine encounters, this session will provide instruction to transition to virtual SP formats, including how to modify encounters for telemedicine environments and effective use of teleconferencing technology.
