Glowing Need for Airborne Contagion Simulations (1090-002322)
CE Hours: 1.00 Session Type: Prerecorded Educational Courses Session Sub Type: Panel Presentation (60 minutes) Cost: $0.00
Learning Objective 1:
Identify three key factors required for creating an airborne contagion in situ team
Learning Objective 2:
Develop a plan for your team to simulate an aerosolized contagion
Learning Objective 3:
Describe the desired outcomes at your institution for airborne contagions in situ simulation
Content Category: Educator
Course Content:
This course is an example of a specific scenario, course, or curriculum.
Course Overview:
Target learners: educators and ops specialists. The course addresses the need for and logistics of insitu airborne contagion simulations. A simple system for simulating aerosolized droplets with simulated critical patients is described. The findings and iterative process improvements related to appropriate PPE use and risk mitigation identified through the use of aerosolized "germs" and UV light identification of contamination will be shared.
