CE Hours: 1.00 Session Type: Prerecorded Educational Courses Cost: $0.00
Learning Objective 1:
Describe socially distant in-situ simulation techniques and the use of these techniques for medical center workflow development, testing, implementation, and training
Learning Objective 2:
Explain the use and design of virtual tabletop simulation for workflow implementation in healthcare systems, including simulating difficult decision-making under pressure, while maintaining psychological safety
Learning Objective 3:
Identify and implement virtual strategies in their own medical centers or healthcare systems to widely disseminate virtual training, including hands-on PPE training, across a medical center or healthcare system

Course Overview:
During COVID, Kaiser Permanente Northern California continued development work on key projects and initiated new COVID workflows, education, and training. We will describe the use of live socially distant and virtual simulation for the development, testing, and implementation of new stroke and crisis care workflows. We will also present the use of virtual technology for the delivery of COVID education to a large multi-disciplinary audience.
