Two Brand New Ultrasound Training Simulators: BlockSim™ and VausSim™ 3D (Accurate)
Start time: Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 10:00 AM End time: Wednesday, February 3, 2021, 11:00 AM Session Type: Learning Labs
A new generation of ultrasound training simulators, designed to meet the Simulation Centers ultrasound training needs and to acquire and practice technical skills in a safe, controlled, and reproducible environment, will be presented by the Accurate team.
The virtual learning lab will be split into two parts: we will first introduce the BlockSim™ simulator, an innovative and patented high fidelity system for the simulation of ultrasound-guided interfascial plane blocks. BlockSim™ represents a new generation of regional anaesthesia simulators: this simulator allows the use of real needles, the puncture of extremely realistic tissue inserts and the inflation of the anaesthetic fluid without generating needle tracks or damages. The visualization of the needle tip as it is passing through the tissues, the confirmation of the alignment with the desired path and a continual visualization of local anaesthetic solution delivery to optimize local anaesthetic distribution are some of the features that make this simulator unique on the market.
We will then introduce the VausSim™, a Versatile Advanced Ultrasound Simulator that offers the possibility to make the skin of any simulator or manikin or standardized patient usable for real-life ultrasound training on medical simulation scenarios. This simulator allows the instructor to independently create, through the use of a powerful editor, a customized and exclusive casebook of real ultrasound images/videos/volumes without any additional cost. VausSim™ is equipped with 3 ultrasound probes (linear, convex and phased array) and a full library of clinical modules including a COVID19 scenario.
