SimEquip – The Collision of the digital and the physical equipment (CAE)
Start time: Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 11:00 AM End time: Wednesday, February 10, 2021, 12:00 PM Session Type: Learning Labs
Simulation programs often battle space constraints while simultaneously attempting to obtain the right type of specialty equipment to ensure the students have an effective training session. As educators, we regularly “borrow” equipment or get unique and create props. As the need for physical equipment continues to grow, so does the need for a digital twin. In this session, we will discuss the role and need for virtual and physical equipment and develop a simulation experience that utilizes SimEquip.
By the end of this session, the student will be able to:
1) Discuss the need for virtual connected equipment in simulation-based education.
2) Discuss the role of physical simulated equipment.
3) Create a simulation experience that utilizes SimEquip.
