Description:
The best healthcare education programs consistently seek innovative approaches to maximizing the learning experience of students. Immersive virtual reality (VR) simulation is an established modality that can be leveraged to provide health professions students with meaningful experiential learning opportunities. During the COVID-19 pandemic, nursing faculty from Labouré College in Massachusetts successfully integrated immersive VR simulation into their nursing curriculum, allowing the program to supplement student clinical education with high quality, simulation-based experiences. In this interactive session, attendees will learn how to successfully integrate immersive VR simulation into nursing curriculum, as Labouré faculty discuss their successes and lessons learned.
Objectives:
1. Discuss the benefits of using immersive VR simulation in healthcare education
